BELLE VUE big hitters Hans Andersen and Peter Karlsson (pictured) led the Autogate Aces to a convincing 56-38 Elite League victory over Peterborough at Kirkmanshulme Lane last night.

Skipper Andersen scored 14 and Karlsson 12 as they dropped only one point apiece to riders in a Peterborough side who had won eight of their previous ten matches.

Patrick Hougaard warmed up for Saturday’s World Under-21 in Latvia with three heat wins while Filip Sitera, Belle Vue’s new Czech signing, showed some encouraging signs with three points.

Team boss Chris Morton said: “I was delighted with this win against a side who have been doing well. Filip made some good starts and I thought the decision to exclude him from this third ride for causing the race to be stopped was harsh. I also think he gave an answer to fans who criticised his signing.”
