MARCUS Kristoffersson wants to put the record straight on where he will be playing next season.
The 32-year Swede was the English Premier League’s top goal-scorer last season finding the target 62 times to help Manchester Phoenix win the league.
But Kristoffersson has revealed:
He would like to play in Manchester next season.
No-one from the club has talked to him about a new contract.
He’s had offers from the Elite League, the EPL and in Europe.
He won’t be returning to play in Sweden.
And finally he wants his future sorting out as soon as possible.
Kristoffersson said: I’ve not talked to anyone about next season and I’ve not been asked if I want to come back.
“My wife and I liked Manchester and we had a great season and I would like to go back but I haven’t talked to anyone and I don’t know what’s going on.
“There are a number of teams I could sign for right now but I know the fans in Manchester would like me to come back and I’m happy about that.
“I was expecting any talks to take place after the season but I can’t just sit about and wait for them to call me.
“I want to know what I am doing and want my situation for next season sorted out as soon as possible.
“I’m disappointed nobody has spoken to me. I had a good season and we had a good team which won the league.
“Our baby is due in July and I want to make a decision about where I am playing as soon as possible and it has to be 100 percent right.
“Teams have wanted to speak to me since Christmas. I have offers from the Elite League and the English League. The Elite League is a better league with more imports and I have played in the English League for the team that won the league.
“I have also had offers from other leagues in Europe.
I’m 100 percent sure I won’t be playing in Sweden next season.
“I’ve played there and they think of me as a certain type of player and I’m more than a grinder.”
