McRae back in business at Hull

FORMER Salford coach Shaun McRae is back in rugby league at Hull FC.

Aussie McRae, who quit Salford this season through ill health, will take over as director of rugby following the departure of coach Richard Agar at the end of the season.

“I am delighted to be returning to Hull FC and I am honoured to be part of the exciting times that lay ahead,” said McRae, who was head coach at Hull from 2000 to 2004.

“I look forward to working with (owner) Adam Pearson and all the staff and players and also re-acquainting myself with the ‘old faithful’.”

Agar is said to be seeking a new challange and said: “It has been a fantastic experience to work for Hull FC over the last seven years. I consider it an honour to have worked with the players and staff of this great club.
